support worker positions available
Join our small, dedicated team in Accrington (6-bed residential home) supporting female residents with complex needs, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Dementia. We are seeking a versatile and creative female Support Worker to provide high-quality, personalised care. Due to the complex and personal care needs of our residents, this role is female-only.
The home is unique in it's approach, and has been complemented on the outstanding care we provide. The ladies we support are full of fun, creativity and a love of life. They have a can do attitude, nothing stops them from learning and experiencing new projects.
Maintaining the core principles based on independent living, accessing all areas of external support and activities, with a holistic approach.
The successful candidate will have the privilege to work in a very special environment, so creativity, literal thinking and attention to the little things would complete a team that has been well established, who actively seek new and diverse experiences and are not afraid to be apart of them.
Hours & Rota:
Two Day Roles Available
Role 1: 14 hours per week, scheduled over 3 days.
Shift Pattern: 2-week rolling rota including a mix of:
Early shifts
Late shifts
Weekend shifts (required)
weekend shifts ( required)
Occasional overtime opportunities available.
Specific hours/changes may be added into the rota to meet the needs of the supported individuals but not go over your contracted hours unless agreed overtime.
Medication administration is required along with some limited personal care.
Mandatory training would be required for completion at the beginning of the post along with additional training when the service requires.
Enhanced Disclosure to be completed along with a minimum of 2 satisfactory references before employment offered.
Induction training along with shadowing hours will be completed in the first stages of employment.
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care would be great but not essential as training will be offered.
Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and/ or Dementia preferred, but not essential
Driving license and own car an asset, but not a requirement.
