Overview
We are seeking a professional LGV 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across designated routes, ensuring timely and secure transportation. Duties
- Operate LGV 2 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo on flatbeds
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving flatbed vehicles
- Valid LGV 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with road regulations and safety standards relevant to commercial driving in the UK
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during deliveries
This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to safe driving practices and excellent customer service. Applicants should possess relevant experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and hold a valid LGV 2 licence.
This is a Temp to Perm position paying £13.50 per hour.
We also require ad-hoc drivers to cover holidays and sickness.
