Position Details
- Pay: £13.00 per hour
- Days: Monday to Sunday (5 days per week)
- Additional holiday cover may be required
- Extra hours available for the right candidate
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a busy pub with guest accommodation.
This is a varied role combining Kitchen Porter, duties throughout the week. Daily duties may vary depending on business needs, and some days may involve the same tasks while others may require different responsibilities.
Main Duties
Kitchen Porter
- Wash pots, pans, utensils, crockery and kitchen equipment, ensuring all items are clean and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen by cleaning work surfaces, floors, sinks, and food preparation areas.
- Empty bins, manage waste and recycling, and keep the pot wash area clean, organised, and hygienic.
- Support the kitchen team by putting away deliveries, storing equipment correctly, and assisting with basic kitchen tasks when required.
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP procedures, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Complete opening and closing cleaning duties, ensuring the kitchen is clean, sanitised, and fully prepared for the next service.

Requirements
Reliable and punctual Good attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a team Own transport required (car, lift arrangement or bicycle) due to location
