Senior Administrator
Reports to: Admin /Operations Manager
Hours per week: 25- 37 Hours per week
Hourly rate - from £13.50 per hour
Anticipated start date ASAP.
Job Summary:
The post-holder will be incrementally trained to undertake a range of non-clinical administration, working strictly in accordance with existing Practice processes within an established team. This is a new role in practice at entry level which will give a varied job role and an opportunity for training and development across the non-clinical practice workforce. This role will span across the traditional
Reception and Admin roles giving support to the practice generally.
Main Duties/Key Tasks following full training are:
This position will be mainly to support the daily administration team. Previous NHS experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Manage mail: incoming and outgoing;
- Liaising information into the Practice between an external admin team and our clinical system using generic processes;
- Filing and retrieving paperwork and records;
- Extraction of necessary data from clinical correspondence and input into patient’s electronic clinical record;
- Scanning of letters and relevant correspondence into patient’s notes;
- Efficient use of the Practice computer system;
- Interrogate data for audit purposes;
- Interrogate patient data for administrative purposes used in call/recall/audit processes;
- Ensure security of data at all times.
- Assisting with administrative duties
- Preparing Patient notes (SAR)
- Summarising of new patient notes
- Prescription administration
- Answering telephone queries from patients
- Booking appointments
- Running searches.

Competencies
- Sound knowledge of Windows and MS Office;
- Awareness of data security requirements;

- IT literate: manipulate documentation in the course of your role;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Problem solving skills.
