Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CAD manager to join our multidisciplinary team specialising in the design of rail projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining CAD standards, ensuring quality control and delivering high-quality technical drawings across multiple disciplines.

Accountabilities
- Manage and maintain CAD standards, protocols and best practices for a multidisciplinary design team, including Structural, Civil, Architectural, MEP and Track.
- Produce and oversee the production of high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings using Bentley products, including Microstation, OpenSites Designer, OpenBuildings Designer, LumenRT and Descartes.
- Assist with the production of technical documents such as risk assessments, reports, specifications, and design approvals.
- Undertake and oversee design supporting administrative duties such as filing incoming drawings and documents, completion of the document issue register in accordance with the company's IMS.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient design integration
- Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts in line with project requirements.
- Mentor, supervise and provide training to junior team members, promoting best practice and technical excellence.
- Attend design and client meetings, take minutes and contribute to reviews and problem-solving discussions.
- Support the maintenance of company standards and libraries.
- Ensure all project outputs comply with company standards and procedures, BIM requirements, relevant industry regulations, and specific client standards.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programme.
- Input into KPI and data collection.
- Undertake site visits and surveys as required.
The Person
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification related to the build environment.
- EngTech (ICE) Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
- Minimum 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Extensive experience in 3D modelling using Bentley software including MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer and OpenSites Designer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Knowledge of RC detailing.
- Strong understanding of BIM processes and digital design delivery, including experience working in ProjectWise.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

- Hours: 08:00am – 17:00pm
- Contract: Full-time/Permanent
