Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Domestic Appliance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household appliances, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep appliances running smoothly and efficiently for our clients.
Duties
- Diagnose faults in domestic appliances using schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform repairs on equipment such as washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and air conditioning units
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns and extend appliance lifespan
- Lead small teams during complex repair projects when necessary, demonstrating leadership skills
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify issues accurately
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring safety standards are met
- Provide clear communication with customers regarding repair procedures and maintenance advice
Requirements
- Experience in a relevant field is a must.
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance or equipment repair
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals effectively
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or guiding team members
- Hands-on experience repairing household appliances and air conditioning systems
- Construction or maintenance experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in technical tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid certification or training related to appliance repair or HVAC systems is preferred
