Fundraising & Operations Lead
Hours: 15 - 18.75 hours per week
Salary: £13,260 -£17,550 per annum, dependent on agreed hours and experience. This is equivalent to full time salary of £33,150 - £35,100 per annum.
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire. This is an on-site role.
Role Overview
The Thomas Theyer Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and organised Fundraising & Operations Lead to strengthen our team.
The Fundraising & Operations Lead is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to join a small but ambitious charity that is making a real difference to the lives of young people and their families.
You will lead the charity's fundraising activity across a range of income streams, including grant, trust and foundation applications, corporate and third-party fundraising and online giving. Alongside fundraising responsibilities, you will have operational responsibilities for the small office premises including management of utility contracts.
This new role compliments the in place Counselling Services Lead. The two 'lead' roles managing the charity on a day to day basis . Both reporting to the CEO.
This is a varied and rewarding role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within a supportive and passionate team.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Prepare and submit grant applications to funders.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities.
- Develop fundraising through trusts, foundations, community fundraising, third-party events, individual fundraising and online giving.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and supporters.
- Ensure accurate
- Represent the charity at networking events, funding meetings and fundraising activities.
- Prepare and make fundraising presentations.
- Monitor and evaluate funding grants, reporting on activity to trustees and grant providers.
Operations
- Coordinate premises maintenance and repairs as agreed.
- Liaise with landlord.
- Manage utilities, contracts and suppliers.
- Support health and safety compliance requirements and routine checks.
- Ensure IT is compliant with policies including ensuring regular back ups are made.
- Help develop volunteering opportunities that support the charity's work.
Communications & Engagement
- Maintain website content.
- Manage social media updates and promotion.
- Share impact stories, services and fundraising achievements.
- Support community engagement activities.
Development and Reporting
- Work closely with the Counselling Lead to develop the charities work.
- Put forward ideas for development to the CEO.
- Provide regular reports for Trustees and attend Trustee meetings when required.

This is a newly created role designed to strengthen the charity's fundraising capacity and operational resilience. The role is target based and subject to a review.
Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
