Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Stores/Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock within our warehouse and delivering goods efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and a strong work ethic to ensure timely deliveries and smooth store operations. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, for the delivery of goods to clients and suppliers
- Load and unload stock, ensuring items are handled with care and stored correctly within the warehouse
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and stock movements
- Assist with inventory management by organising stock within the warehouse
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and stock requirements
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during driving and warehouse activities
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, demonstrating safe and responsible driving habits
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling goods weighing up to 25kg or more
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory management is desirable
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late afternoons if necessary

Pay: £12.80-£13.50 per hour
