We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills within a fast-paced and varied manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a CAD/CAM Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting projects from initial design through to final production. Working closely with customers, project teams, and production staff, you will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, developing manufacturing solutions, and helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
This position offers exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing processes and materials, making it an ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to broaden their engineering knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 3D models from customer specifications and existing 2D drawings.
- Create detailed technical 2D manufacturing drawings for production.
- Support projects throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and design through to manufacture and installation.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and manufacturable.
- Liaise with customers and clients regarding drawing queries and design modifications.
- Assist in developing machine programming and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and streamline production.
- Collaborate with fellow CAD/CAM Engineers to ensure drawings and technical documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail across all design work.
What We're Looking For
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor.
- Previous experience producing both 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience within the sheet metal fabrication industry.
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
