The Role
We are seeking an experienced Hair Stylist who is confident in all aspects of hairdressing, from precision cutting and creative colouring to styling and hair treatments. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, staying up to date with the latest trends, and building long-lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional consultations to understand clients’ needs and recommend suitable hairstyles and treatments.
* Perform ladies’ and gentlemen’s haircuts to a high standard.
* Deliver a full range of colouring services, including:
* Highlights and balayage
* Full head and root colouring
* Toners and colour corrections
* Creative colouring techniques
* Wash, blow-dry, style, and finish hair for all occasions.
* Recommend appropriate haircare products and home maintenance.
* Maintain accurate client consultation and colour records.
* Ensure workstations and salon areas are clean, organised, and comply with health and safety standards.
* Build and maintain a loyal client base through exceptional service.
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Hairdressing (or equivalent recognised qualification).
* Minimum of 2 years’ salon experience (preferred).
* Skilled in cutting, colouring, styling, and finishing all hair types.
* Confident in balayage, highlights, colour correction, and modern colouring techniques.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Professional appearance and positive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends where required.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with keratin or smoothing treatments.
* Hair extensions certification or experience.
* Bridal and occasion hairstyling.
* Barbering or men’s grooming experience.
* Knowledge of premium professional haircare products.
