Venezia Marketing & Distribution Co. Ltd is a long-established family business based in Hoddesdon, specialising in bathroom spare parts and replacement products.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable, organised and hard-working Goods In & Stock Control Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team.
This isn't just a picking and packing role.
You'll have an important responsibility within the warehouse, helping to make sure that stock arriving into the business is checked correctly, booked in accurately, put away in the right location and available for our team to pick and dispatch.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices when something isn't right and can be trusted to get the job done properly.
What You'll Be Doing
Your main responsibility will be Goods In, stock control and replenishment.
On a typical day, you'll be:
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Checking products and quantities against delivery notes
- Identifying and reporting missing, incorrect or damaged stock
- Accurately booking stock into our warehouse system
- Labelling and putting stock away in the correct locations
- Replenishing picking locations throughout the warehouse
- Helping maintain accurate stock levels
- Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks
- Investigating stock discrepancies when required
- Keeping Goods In and warehouse areas clean and organised
You'll also support the wider warehouse team when required, including:
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Packing orders securely and efficiently
- Preparing orders for daily courier collections
- Helping the team achieve daily dispatch targets
- Carrying out general warehouse duties
The Person We're Looking For
Experience is useful, but attitude, reliability and attention to detail are more important to us.
We're looking for someone who:

- Is comfortable lifting and moving stock
- Is willing to learn our products, systems and processes
- Wants a stable, long-term position
Previous warehouse, Goods In, inventory or stock control experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential for the right person.
Full training will be provided.
What Success Looks Like
This is an important role within our warehouse.
We're looking for someone who can eventually take ownership of Goods In and be trusted to make sure stock entering the business is correct.
If a delivery should contain 100 items but only 96 have arrived, we expect you to notice.
If something is damaged, incorrectly labelled or doesn't match the delivery paperwork, we want you to question it rather than simply putting it away.
Accuracy matters.
Getting Goods In right means our stock figures are correct, our picking team can find the products they need and our customers receive the right orders on time.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am–4:00pm
We operate a busy daily dispatch operation, so good attendance and punctuality are important.
Salary & Benefits
- £13.00 per hour
- Approximately £27,000 per year
