About the Role
As a Support Worker, you'll empower the people we support to live life on their terms, encouraging independence, choice, and inclusion. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in supporting individuals with their daily routines and community engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals with personal care and wellbeing
- Assisting with meal planning and preparation
- Supporting with shopping, budgeting, and paying bills
- Administering medication safely and accurately
- Encouraging participation in hobbies, activities, and community outings
- Implementing person-centred support plans
- Using Positive Behaviour Support approaches to promote positive outcomes
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated team
What We're Looking For
We're seeking caring and motivated individuals who share our values and are committed to delivering outstanding support.
Essential Requirements:
- A genuine commitment to the values and mission of the Charity
- Minimum 1 years' experience supporting people with autism and complex needs
- Experience using a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Experience developing and implementing support plans
- QCF Level 3 in Adult Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to provide personal care
- Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and reliability
- A positive, motivated, and committed attitude
- Respect for diversity, equality, and the cultural and religious backgrounds of others
