Job Overview
We are seeking a multi skilled Builder to join our team, responsible for fitting out, renovating, and maintaining our fleet of mobile catering kiosks, agricultural and commercial properties.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building techniques and materials, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members as well as the ability to be self motivated when working alone.
The business is a event catering business operating all over the country and the role does include hands on involvement within the operations of the catering business and working the catering kiosks, including some evenings and weekends. Being a team player and getting involved in all aspects of the business will be a key part of the role.
Duties
- Problem solve to identify faults and repairs required in a commercial catering environment
- Fit out catering kiosks using materials such as aluminium and Stainless steel
- Construct frameworks, walls, and roofs using wood, metal, or other materials.
- Install doors, windows, and other fixtures
- Ability to work on carpentry, metal work, plumbing and some electrics
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety regulations throughout the construction process.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing structures as needed.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Assisting with logistics and event operations during event set up and live event days, this may include working on the kiosks and helping to keep them running efficiently
- Driving vans and towing trailers
Experience
- Proven experience in building or construction roles is essential.
- Familiarity with various construction tools and equipment is required.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
- Trailer towing experience is essential
- Familiarity with diggers and plant equipment useful
