We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Stylists/colour technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairdressing with extensive expertise in various styling and colouring techniques. This role offers an opportunity to lead, mentor junior staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. The Senior Stylist will be responsible for providing top-quality all around hairdressing services while maintaining a welcoming environment for clients. A background in store management, Hair extensions, and makeup application is highly desirable and would be welcome although not essential. The position is paid employed and suitable for individuals committed to professional growth within the hairdressing industry. Although self employed options are available please ask for details.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide range of styling services including haircuts, colouring, foiling, perming, keratin application with precision and artistry.
- Provide outstanding customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored advice to enhance their experience.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Manage daily operations at the front desk, including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and upselling products or additional services.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the salon environment.
- Assist in store management tasks such as stock control, product merchandising, and ensuring health & safety compliance.
- Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and positive reviews through excellent communication skills.
- Promote specialised services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application to maximise client satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in store management within a salon and ladies hairdressing setting.
- Skilled in barbering techniques alongside traditional styling methods welcome but not essential!
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour.
- Ability to manage front desk operations efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Experience mentoring junior staff members to develop their skills and confidence.
- Proficiency hair extensions, but not essential, and upselling techniques to enhance client experience and revenue.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members alike.
- Organised with strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of service delivery are maintained at all times.
