Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Junior Sous to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under supervision, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Support the team in food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Help with kitchen organisation, including stock rotation and inventory management.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout shifts.
- Support the supervision of junior staff and trainees when required, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Assist in serving guests when necessary, providing excellent hospitality and customer service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Leadership qualities with an eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills further.
- Experience in restaurant or kitchen environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
