We are looking for an experienced Construction Assistant Site Supervisor/ Finishing Foreman to join our growing team, working on new build housing developments.

· Initial sites based in Maltby, Rotherham
· Future projects across Scunthorpe and Rotherham
Requirements
· SSSTS or SMSTS – Essential
· Valid CSCS Card – Essential
· First Aid at Work – Desirable
· Full UK driving licence – Essential
· Minimum of 3 years' experience supervising construction sites, preferably within the residential new build sector
· Previous experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
· A trade background (e.g. bricklaying, carpentry or finishing foreman) would be highly beneficial
· Good understanding of UK health and safety legislation and site management procedures
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Responsibilities
· Supervise the day-to-day operations of new build housing sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
· Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers, ensuring all trades work to the required specifications and quality standards.
· Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies and site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
· Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings and regular site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
· Monitor the quality of workmanship throughout all stages of construction, identifying and resolving defects before handover.
· Plan and coordinate site activities, deliveries, labour and resources to maintain programme and minimise delays.
· Liaise with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, clients, Building Control, LABC inspectors, utility providers to ensure smooth project delivery.
· Interpret construction drawings, specifications and programme schedules to ensure works are completed correctly.
· Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily diaries, permits, inspections, labour records and health and safety documentation.
· Monitor progress against programme, identify potential issues and implement solutions to maintain project deadlines.
· Ensure materials, plant and equipment are managed efficiently, and site housekeeping is maintained to a high standard.
· Coordinate inspections, snagging and remedial works, ensuring completed homes meet the required quality standards before handover.
· Report regularly to senior management on progress, quality, safety, resources and any project risks.
· Support the Site Manager in the successful delivery of residential developments and assume responsibility for site operations in their absence where required.
Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
