Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment

- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to optimise efficiency during service hours
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in food production, menu development, and kitchen operations management
- Strong understanding of hospitality service standards, including serving procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak times
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality qualifications are advantageous
