The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Wiring Technician to join our team, working primarily on the electrical wiring, installation and preparation of CCTV camera towers and welfare units.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring and assembling CCTV camera towers and associated equipment.
- Wiring welfare units and temporary site accommodation.
- Installing and terminating electrical & alarm components, control panels and accessories.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Carrying out testing, fault finding and electrical checks.
- Ensuring installations are completed safely, neatly and to a high standard.
- Diagnosing and rectifying wiring faults.
- Working with low-voltage CCTV, control and communication systems.
- Preparing equipment for deployment to customer sites.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following company procedures and relevant UK electrical and health & safety requirements.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in electrical wiring, assembly or installation.
- Is confident reading electrical drawings and schematics.
- Has experience with control panels, CCTV, temporary electrical installations or similar equipment.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Takes pride in producing a neat and professional finish.
- Is reliable, organised and safety-conscious.
- Can identify and resolve electrical faults effectively.
Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:
- Practical electrical/wiring experience.
- Good understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience wiring CCTV towers, security systems or welfare units.
- Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
- 18th Edition qualification.
- Experience with control panels and electrical testing.
