Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater/paint sprayer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to interpret schematics for effective assembly and maintenance of vehicle panels. As a Panel Beater, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality repairs while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools to carry out repairs efficiently.
- Weld components as necessary to restore structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Assemble parts according to specifications, following schematics when required.
- Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with heavy lifting when moving large panels or components during the repair process.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle repairs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Familiarity with various types of power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
