Position: Junior Prep Chef

Salary: Up to £15.71 per hour inclusive of tronc

At Alley Cats Pizza Central Production Kitchen, our fantastic team works behind the scenes preparing fresh ingredients and crafting our signature dough recipe, ready to be delivered to all our restaurants so every dish tastes just right.
We are looking for an organised, fast-paced Junior Prep Chef to support our team in our central production kitchen in Kentish Town.
Purpose of Role:
As a Junior Preparation Chef, you will support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality ingredients and basic menu components to ensure smooth and efficient service.
You will work under the supervision of senior chefs, learning correct preparation methods, kitchen organisation, and food safety standards while contributing to daily kitchen operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support a preparation team in operating a fast pace production kitchen
- Prioritise packing process of products and ensure delivery readiness
- Adhere to recipes set by Head of Food
- Provide support heavy lifting, large movement of goods, possible movement of goods via stairs (from time to time)
- Support the preparation team with all wider relative duties
- Support with accepting deliveries and cleaning duties to help cultivate a collaborative work environment
- Responsible for supporting the set up, pack down and general maintenance of Preparation area of kitchen
- Ensure that H&S and Food Safety certificate remain in-date at all times to ensure full compliance and adherence to food rules and regulations
- Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately
- Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and either corrects them or takes action to prevent them from happening
- Work collaboratively with all team members
- To adhere to all health, sanitation and food safety rules and regulations.
- Keep the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, appropriate uniform, appearance, and conduct.
- To carry out any other duties as directed by seniors.
- To complete all necessary training and study the Employee handbook and training guides.
Pay: Up to £15.71 per hour
