To lead and manage E&F Risk and Compliance to provide a responsive and customer focused delivery to achieve outstanding standards of service. To have senior and professional responsibility for the effective, safe and compliant delivery of Operational Estates services.
The post is required to ensure that all elements of the operational estates service are compliant with all mandatory and statutory standards, national and local targets and with the requirements of the CQC and other regulatory bodies. This includes ensuring that all Trust policies and procedures and health and safety requirements relating to the estates functions are in place.
Manage all Estates Operational and other delegated budgets to provide financial sustainability through increased efficiency and reduced cost.
The post holder will be required to deputise for the Deputy Director where appropriate and required.
Lead and Manage the Estates Specialist Services to ensure all estates operational requirements meet statutory, mandatory and NHS requirements. This requires the formulation of the long-term strategic estates plans to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the Trust to ensure, and efficient and safe environment is maintained across the Trust and Partners.
To be the professional lead for Risk and Compliance.
To support the Director in the development and delivery of the estates plan aligned to the Estates and Facilities Strategy as approved by the Trust Board.
To review Estates and Facilities service provision for out of area buildings and set up new contracts as appropriate.
To establish a formal contract for the retained estate maintenance on our Haywood Hospital site
To provide professional estates advice as required enabling the Trust to plan for future capacity requirements.
Lead on ensuring all estates operational requirements are fulfilled and that all Authorising Engineer (AE)/Appointed Person (AP) personnel managed by Estates Specialist Services are in place and suitably qualified.
To provide operational strategic advice as required enabling the Trust to plan for future capacity requirements as part of the long-term plan.
Manage and co-ordinate the work of a broad range of external contractors.
