Marina Manager – Manchester
Waterpride Estates is a thriving Canal Marina Business, specialising in the operation of boutique Canal Marinas and Moorings.
Our flagship site, New Islington Marina in the heart of Ancoats, Manchester, is at the centre of a vibrant urban Waterway Community, and we're looking for an experienced and driven Marina Manager to lead its day-to-day operations.
The Role
Reporting to our Area Manager, this is a ‘hands-on’ management position, covering the full operational scope of a busy urban Marina. You'll be the first point of contact at the site for our Moorers and Visitors, responsible for keeping things running smoothly, professionally, and safely, while also contributing to broader business development activity across our growing portfolio of sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of Marina operations at New Islington Marina, Manchester, including daily safety and maintenance checks
- Accurate processing and recording of Shop sales and stock levels
- Moorer liaison and relationship management, including Licence compliance and dispute resolution
- Site Security, Health & Safety, and maintenance coordination and delivery
- Contractor and Third-Party Stakeholder liaison and management
- Checking and enforcing Mooring Licence Terms and Conditions professionally and consistently
- Supporting Business Development initiatives across new and existing sites
- Weekend working
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Marina, Waterways, Facilities, Property Management (or a closely-related field)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) — you'll deal with a wide range of people daily
- Candidates confident in handling conflict and compliance matters professionally
- Candidates who are organised, pro-active, and capable of working independently
- A genuine interest in Canals and the Waterway Community
Hours
40 hours per week, across 5 days, with regular weekend and Bank Holiday working expected as part of the role. A degree of flexibility is required to cover sickness, holidays, and training.
Interviews scheduled to take place on the 2nd July 2026, at Lady Lane Marina (Birmingham). Travel expenses will be paid.
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
