Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced RAD Ballet Teacher to join our dance academy on SATURDAY mornings, classes are for up to 5 hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ballet instruction in accordance with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire students of all ages and skill levels, fostering their technical development and love for ballet. The position is paid and suitable for experienced educators and dance professionals committed to nurturing talent within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ballet classes based on the RAD syllabus, tailored to students’ ages and abilities from Grades 3-6
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Prepare students for RAD examinations, including rehearsals and exam day support
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
- Organise performances or showcases to demonstrate student progress and celebrate achievements
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes
Qualifications
- recognised qualification in RAD Ballet teaching or equivalent professional dance qualification
- Proven experience teaching ballet to a diverse range of age groups and skill levels
- Strong understanding of the RAD syllabus and examination requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and build rapport
- Organised, reliable, and able to plan lessons effectively
- Passionate about dance education with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
- Prior experience in organising performances or student showcases is desirable but not essential
- A valid DBS check, Safeguarding and first aid required
