About Us
Bolton Gate Cafe is a family-run cafe located at Bolton Gate Farm on the edge of Weston Coyney, surrounded by the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands countryside. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, great coffee, and a menu featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Working alongside Bolton Gate Arts, we help support a vibrant programme of live theatre, music, markets, craft fairs, and community events. We also specialise in Luxury Afternoon Teas, creating memorable experiences for customers celebrating special occasions.
The Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and hard-working Cafe Team Member to join our team. This is a varied role involving both front-of-house and kitchen duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a busy, supportive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing coffees, teas, and other drinks
- Serving customers, operating the till, and running food
- Food preparation, baking, and assisting with cooking
- Preparing and serving our freshly made menu
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and general cafe upkeep
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from applicants with previous experience in a cafe, kitchen, hospitality, or customer-facing environment, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Skills and qualities:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food preparation and hygiene
A current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential.
Hours & Pay
This role offers a minimum of 15 hours per week, with additional hours available depending on business needs and your availability. Flexibility is required, including a mix of weekdays, weekends, and occasional evening shifts during the summer months. Please note that the cafe is closed on Mondays.
Pay will be in line with National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage rates and will vary depending on the successful applicant's age.
