Company: Wildfire Experience Agency
Location: Sheffield HQ / On-Site Nationwide
Who We Are:
At Wildfire, we don’t just plan events; we build them. From 500-person conferences to high-stakes corporate team-building, we are the hardest-working production team in the room. We own 95% of our own kit, meaning we don’t just outsource the heavy lifting—we execute it ourselves. We are growing aggressively, and we need a Senior On-Site Event Manager who leads from the front, intercepts problems, and refuses to drop the ball.
The Role:
This is not a job for someone who wants to stand in the corner with a clipboard. You are the commander on the ground. When you are on-site, you are the absolute authority. You will lead the crew, manage the client, oversee the build and break, and ensure everything runs to the exact minute.
Key Responsibilities
● The Client Comes First: No matter what happens on site, the client's happiness and safety comes first at all times.
● Total Site Control: Lead the end-to-end live delivery of events, from loading the trucks at HQ to the final strike and client handover.
● Crew Leadership: Command teams of event staff and freelancers. Set the standard, enforce the rules, and do not accept half-finished work or poor attitudes.
● Problem Interception: Live events mean constant friction. You do not pass problems up the chain; you solve them on-site, manage the conflict, and inform the Directors of the outcome.
● Health & Safety Mastery: Enforce rigorous H&S standards, dynamic risk assessments, and crowd management without compromising the client experience.
● Operational Accountability: Maintain absolute discipline with company assets, vehicles, and on-site expenses (with full, immediate receipt reconciliation).
Who You Are
● A Hard Grafter: You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in live event production, rigging, or technical event management.
● A Fun & Passionate Individual: You enjoy what you do and have a love of the industry and work with a smile on your face.
● A Decision Maker: You do not shy away from conflict. Whether pushing back on a supplier or keeping unmanageable crew in line, you have a backbone.
● Commercially Aware: You understand that time is money, margins matter, and a fast, efficient break-down is just as important as the live show.
● Logistically Sharp: Full, clean driving license required. You know your way around a van and a warehouse just as well as a 5-star hotel ballroom.
