About KIBODI
KIBODI is an independent skincare concept store specialising in curated Korean and global skincare. We are a small, growing business, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working in a startup environment where every day can look different.
This is primarily a SALES role. We need someone who genuinely enjoys speaking to customers, understanding their skincare needs, recommending the right products and confidently converting conversations into sales.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming, approaching and assisting customers in-store
- Actively selling skincare and recommending suitable routines/products
- Learning and maintaining strong knowledge of our Korean skincare range
- Upselling and cross-selling where appropriate
- Processing customer purchases through Shopify POS
- Receiving deliveries, replenishing stock and completing stock counts
- Updating product quantities and inventory on the back end of Shopify
- Keeping shelves, testers and the store organised and presentable
- Supporting Click & Collect orders
- Learning about new products and launches
- Occasionally filming, editing or posting simple TikTok/Instagram content during quiet periods
- Completing other reasonable store and operational tasks that support sales and the day-to-day running of KIBODI
Who We're Looking For
Previous sales experience is essential.
We are particularly interested in applicants who have worked in skincare, beauty, cosmetics or a similar consultative sales environment.
You should:
- Be confident approaching customers rather than waiting to be approached
- Have genuine skincare knowledge and an interest in Korean skincare
- Understand how to identify customer needs and recommend products accordingly
- Be commercially minded and motivated by making sales
- Be comfortable upselling without being pushy
- Be proactive when the store is quiet — there will always be something productive to work on
- Be comfortable working independently and occasionally running the shop floor alone
- Be reliable, punctual and professional
- Be comfortable learning Shopify and other simple business systems
- Enjoy the variety and changing priorities that come with working for a small independent business

This is a zero-hours position. There are no guaranteed weekly hours.
Shifts are offered according to business needs, staff availability and store performance. Some weeks may have more hours than others.
KIBODI is still a growing independent business. This is therefore not a traditional retail role where every shift consists solely of serving customers. During quieter periods, you may support stock, e-commerce, content and other reasonable tasks that help the store operate and generate sales.
If you prefer a highly structured role with fixed duties and guaranteed weekly hours, this position is unlikely to be the right fit.
