Sponge has ambitious plans to become the leading online cake business in the UK and we are looking to recruit a Bakery Operative.
Job description
The role is fast paced and physical role. It involves all aspects of working in the bakery- weighing out ingredients, greasing tins, using mixers, using depositors, using ovens and detinning cakes. The successful candidate will have speed of hand, great attention to detail and follow instruction well. They will also have a good level of fitness and be able to lift up to 15kg. Any candidate we think will be suitable will be asked to attend a trial shift so we can assess which candidate has the best skill set to succeed in this fast paced role. Previous bakery, factory or catering experience required.
Working Week:
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour. 25p per hour extra each month if you do not have any sick days in that calendar month.
