Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loft Insulation Installer, Drivers Mate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the installation of high-quality loft insulation to improve energy efficiency for residential and commercial properties. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth operations on-site, supporting the lead installer with transportation, setup, and installation tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in construction-related trades while contributing to sustainable building practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead installer in measuring, cutting, and fitting loft insulation materials accurately according to project specifications
- Safely operate and handle hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for insulation installation
- Support with loading and unloading insulation materials and equipment from company vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Help with site preparation, including clearing work areas and setting up scaffolding or ladders as needed
- Follow schematics, plans, and instructions to ensure proper insulation placement and coverage
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or general construction is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment used in construction environments
- Basic understanding of schematics, construction drawings, or technical plans is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new trades such as plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry or construction painting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to assist with transportation of materials and team members
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the workday

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
