4Operations is supporting a major European project and is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in industrial electrical systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineering professional experienced in technically demanding projects, ideally within Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cleanroom or advanced industrial environments.
THE ROLE
You will support the design and technical coordination of electrical systems throughout the project lifecycle, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and development of LV/MV electrical distribution systems
- Preparation and review of single-line diagrams, electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Electrical load calculations, cable sizing and protection coordination
- Specification and selection of switchboards, transformers, UPS and emergency power systems
- Lighting, emergency lighting, earthing and related electrical infrastructure
- Preparation of technical specifications, equipment schedules and design documentation
- Review of vendor and contractor technical documentation
- Coordination with mechanical, process, automation and other engineering disciplines
- Technical support during construction, commissioning and project handover
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable European standards and project requirements
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- Degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven electrical design experience within industrial or complex technical projects
- Experience with EPC/EPCM or engineering consultancy environments
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems and electrical design principles
- Experience producing and reviewing electrical engineering documentation
- Previous pharmaceutical, biotechnology, Life Sciences or cleanroom project experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary international project teams
- Professional Italian
- Good professional English
- Availability to work on a project in Central Europe
Experience on major pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing capital projects will be particularly valued.
