The Role
We are looking for an experienced, independent All-Round Marine Engineer specialising in petrol engines. This is a flexible part-time role where you can choose hours that suit your schedule. You won't be micromanaged; instead, you will have the autonomy to diagnose, service, and repair outboards, inboards, and stern drives across our two locations. We need someone who can "deep dive" into complex faults rather than just changing parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out advanced diagnostics, servicing, and repairs specifically on petrol outboards, inboard petrol engines, and stern drives.
- Troubleshooting basic to intermediate marine electrical issues alongside mechanical faults.
- Using our custom CRM and digital diagnostic software to accurately log faults and track job progress.
- Upholding our premium standards of workmanship to protect our hard-earned reputation.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Essential, proven hands-on experience troubleshooting, servicing, and rebuilding marine petrol engines (outboards, inboards, and stern drives).
- Diagnostic Skills: A logical thinker who understands how to systematically trace mechanical and electrical faults.
- Tools: You must possess your own comprehensive set of everyday hand tools. (We supply all specialist tooling, software, and heavy equipment).
- License: Full UK Driving License required to move between our Birdham Pool and Littlehampton sites
