We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Vehicle Health Management (VHM) to join our innovative team. Responsibilities
- Lead the system design and architecture development for Vehicle Health Management solutions, ensuring integration with existing automotive systems.
- Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis on system failures or anomalies to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop detailed schematics, electrical diagrams, and system models using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Utilize simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink to model system behavior and validate design performance under various operational scenarios.
- Program and debug embedded firmware using languages such as C++, Python, Perl, and ARM assembly to enhance system functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop hardware-in-the-loop testing setups and perform debugging of electronic control units (ECUs).
- Apply electrical engineering principles including surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, signal processing, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to develop reliable hardware solutions.
- Support system validation through testing of surface mount components, firmware updates, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools.
- Document system designs, schematics, and test procedures thoroughly to ensure clarity and compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Strong expertise in System on Chip (SoC) architectures and embedded systems development.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies for complex electronic or software failures.
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for detailed mechanical and electrical design work.
- Skilled in simulation environments including MATLAB/Simulink for dynamic modeling and analysis of vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), firmware development, debugging techniques, and signal processing methods.
- Programming skills in C++, Python, Perl, with familiarity in ARM-based microcontrollers for embedded applications.
- Electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in surface mount technology (SMT), soldering, electrical schematics creation, and surface-mount component assembly.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle systems design combined with proficiency in CAD tools like CAD software for mechanical layouts.
- Experience working with surface mount technology components and firmware updates within automotive electronic control units (ECUs).

Pay: £30.00-£40.00 per hour
