Hazel Wood School is looking for a compassionate, inspiring and experienced Headteacher to open SoFino Education's newest provision in January.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a specialist setting supporting children and young people with ASD and SEMH needs. Working closely with the head office team, you will help lead a school where pupils feel safe, understood and empowered to succeed.
About the role
As the Headteacher, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the school, support high standards in teaching and safeguarding.
You will also lead on areas including:
- School improvement and daily leadership
- Specialist ASD and SEMH provision
- Teaching, learning and behaviour
- Safeguarding and statutory compliance
- Staff development and support
- Partnership working with families and professionals
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong leadership experience in a school or specialist setting
- Understands SEND, especially ASD and SEMH
- Leads with warmth, integrity and high expectations
- Is committed to inclusive, child-centred practice
- Can inspire staff and build strong relationships with families and professionals
- Previous experience working in an independent setting is an advantage but not essential
