Job Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet company cleanliness and presentation standards. The role includes supervising staff, conducting inspections, managing inventory, coordinating with other departments, and assisting with the recruitment and training of team members.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise the housekeeping team and assign daily cleaning tasks.
- Prepare staff schedules and allocate workloads.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new housekeeping employees.
- Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance feedback.
Quality Control
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
- Check bathrooms, beds, floors, furniture, and amenities.
- Address cleaning deficiencies and maintain high guest satisfaction standards.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs.
Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Request replenishment as needed and help control inventory usage.
Coordination & Communication
- Communicate room status updates with the Front Desk (Clean, Dirty, Inspected, Stayover, and Out-of-Order).
- Coordinate with Maintenance regarding repairs and room defects.
- Handle and report housekeeping-related guest complaints.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Promote safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50 per hour
