Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Academic Quality Manager to oversee and enhance the standards of educational programmes within our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence, maintaining compliance with accreditation requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. A background in teaching is desirable, as it provides valuable insight into pedagogical practices and curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures across all academic programmes.
- Conduct regular reviews of curriculum content, teaching methods, and assessment strategies to ensure they meet institutional standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with academic staff to identify areas for improvement and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Lead accreditation processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating audits, and maintaining compliance with external regulatory bodies.
- Analyse student feedback, assessment data, and other relevant metrics to evaluate programme effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
- Support faculty in designing innovative teaching approaches that promote student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance activities and produce reports for senior management.
- Stay informed on developments in higher education policies, standards, and pedagogical research to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an academic setting, preferably with a background in teaching or curriculum development.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance frameworks within higher education or similar institutions.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders including academic staff, students, and external accreditation bodies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- A recognised qualification in education or a related field is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
