Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the dry cleaning and laundry services across all sites. Supervise, train, and support staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Ensure garments are processed with care, following appropriate cleaning, ironing, and handling procedures for different fabrics and materials.
- Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of customer and commercial laundry orders.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Oversee stock control of cleaning materials, detergents, packaging supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced. Implement and monitor health & safety and hygiene standards within the workplace.
- Coordinate commercial laundry services for business clients, ensuring reliability and consistency.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, payments, staff rotas, and operational reports. Assist in recruitment, staff scheduling, and performance management.
- Support the integration and setup of newly acquired sites as part of the company’s expansion.
- Monitor financial performance, control operational costs, and maximise efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations.
Skills
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within dry cleaning, laundry, retail, or a service-based environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Good understanding of garment care processes and fabric handling.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic administrative and record-keeping skills.
- Awareness of health & safety practices in an operational environment.
