Job Overview
Ringwood - based foundation company is looking for an experienced Ground Screw Installer / Groundworker and become a vital part of our construction and groundwork projects! As subcontract ground screw installations around Ringwood, Bournemouth, Poole, Wareham, Dorchester and further afield.
This may suit a small owner - operator, experienced self-employed installer. We can provide suitable installation/ torque equipment, or you provide your own for enhanced rates.
Must have appropriate insurance and be able to invoice. small, medium and large installation projects available.
Duties
- Install ground screws accurately according to project specifications and safety standards
- Prepare the work site by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and marking installation points
- Assist with excavation, leveling, and other groundwork tasks to ensure stable foundations
- Operate hand tools and small machinery safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of installed ground screws and report any issues or adjustments needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in ground screw installations, groundworks, construction, or related outdoor manual labor is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures at all times
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills related to ground screw installation and site preparation
