Role
Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for a Yard Supervisor. As part of the team you will:
· Ensure all loads are secure and safe and follow site safety instructions at all sites.
. All Duty of Care/Waste Transfer Notes are completed promptly and accurately.
. Use and maintain equipment in accordance with the training given.
· Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and the Company rules including reporting any unmarked hazards, near misses or accidents and wearing the correct PPE.
· Ensure the yard is tidy at all times including daily housekeeping and weekly checks
· Oversee any deliveries and customers/contractors entering the transfer station and site
- Locking and un-locking transfer station containers as and when required.
- Monitoring/accepting customer waste when tipping to ensure waste tipped matches paperwork and maximum capacity of container is utilised.
- Preparing Hazibag orders for despatch.
- Rotation of HEALTH & SAFETY signage in line with instruction via Operations Manager.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties that are within your capabilities as instructed by the Operations Director/Transport team.
- Vehicle management / yard space optimisation.
Skills & Experience Required
- A full UK driving license/access to own vehicle
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A very personable 'can do' attitude
- High levels of resilience and flexibility
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Commercially aware and takes pride in the quality and standard of their work
