The Role
As an MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician, you'll be responsible for dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed safely and to the highest possible standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
- Diagnosing damaged parts requiring repair or replacement.
- Carrying out vehicle strip and refit work following manufacturer repair methods.
- Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain an efficient repair process.
- Ensuring all safety systems, electrical components and vehicle functions operate correctly before handover.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed work and reporting any additional damage identified during repairs.
- Following manufacturer specifications and all health and safety procedures.
- Delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity targets.
About You
We're looking for an experienced MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Strip & Fit Technician who takes pride in producing safe, high-quality repairs.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- The ability to remove and refit vehicle components efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and manufacturer repair methods.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
