Fit Out UK is a premier interior fit-out contractor specialising in Retail, Leisure, Commercial, Banking and Financial Sector projects across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with strong retail fit-out expertise for an immediate 6–7 week project in Guildford.
Role Overview
- Location: Guildford
- Start Date: Monday 31st August 2026
- Duration: 6–7 weeks
- Contract Type: Fixed-term project role (with potential for further opportunities)
Responsibilities
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour to ensure high-quality delivery of banking/financial or retail-style fit-out works on time and within budget.
- Maintain smooth project execution, meeting tight deadlines and adhering to detailed project schedules typical of fast-track programmes.
- Manage all aspects of site operations, including health & safety, quality control, and client liaison (particularly important in sensitive banking environments).
- Collaborate effectively within the project team while working autonomously on site.
- Ensure compliance with any banking-specific security, access, and operational requirements during construction.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong focus on banking or retail fit-out.
- Demonstrated success delivering retail-style banking branches, headquarters fit-outs, or similar fast-track supermarket projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
Essential Certifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) – Black or Gold Card preferred
- 3 Day First Aid at Work
- Asbestos Awareness
- Fire Safety
Desirable: Trade qualification or background in a relevant construction discipline. Experience working within occupied banking premises or live retail environments.
