We are excited to offer a new opportunity as a Depot Team Leader.
We are looking for an engaging personality, able to build rapport with your team and provide guidance and support. You will be able to develop the team to exhibit the values of the Company and promote these within the work they do to facilitate the operation of the depot.
What does the role include?
- Ensuring that the team are well informed and that they’re regularly communicated with through daily briefings and weekly meetings.
- Recruiting and inducting new team members if vacancies become available.
- Driving your personal development, learning new skills and knowledge, and helping the team to do the same.
- Taking ownership of the planning processes
- Administering customer care issues and daily communications.
- Using Dayforce to plan your team’s shifts and ensure the best coverage of depot tasks.
- Working with all the systems used across the department and necessary for the ordering of consumables and uniforms.
- Actioning reports that are needed for keeping other aspects of the business informed and updating the system.
- Maintaining depot compliance with audit processes, vehicle management and health and safety.
What skills and experience are required?
- The ability to identify inefficiencies, and barriers to good performance, to improve the experience of our teams and customers.
- A capability to learn new skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with your team and colleagues.
- Listening to your team and learning from co-workers and customers to understand our processes, and systems and recognize opportunities for improvement.
- Experience in leading or managing a team.
- Knowledge of company administration processes.
- A good understanding of the Transend system and capacity management.
- Flexibility when business needs and expectations change.
- Experience with administrative systems and knowledge of Host Access and the Microsoft 365 system is preferable.
Training based on the competencies of this role, and leadership skills will be available. Opportunities gain specialist knowledge, but experience with office applications is preferable.
