J&M Collinson Ltd/C&C Supplies Collinson Ltd are a well established family business based in Garstang, Preston, PR3 0JB. We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Mechanic to join our team
We run a fleet of around 30 wagons and have our own workshop on site.
The role of a mechanic is to repair vehicles and to carry out routine maintenance checks to ensure that the vehicle is running as it should be, Mechanics need to have a good technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, a high level of attention to detail and to be able to work well with colleagues.
The successful applicant will;
- Carry out repairs, major and minor engine work
- Use diagnostic equipment
- Carry out, four weekly, servicing
- Work to the DVSA Standards
- Work with drivers
- Ensure all known defects are dealt with promptly
- Have good knowledge of a variety of vehicles/commercial fleet.
- Must be able to work alone and part of a team
- Able to maintain records and carry out duties in an efficient manor
- Inspection of vehicles and prepare for MOTs
You will be based in our onsite garage in Garstang
Wages will be negotiable depending on experience and will be discussed at interview, excellent terms available for the right candidate
Full time hours Monday to Friday including Saturdays if required, Overtime Available
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £34,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Experience:
- HGV Mechanical Fitter: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Drivers License (preferred)
