We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join the team at The White Horse, Beccles, an exciting new addition to the Hugo Hospitality Group.
Currently undergoing a full refurbishment, The White Horse is set to reopen following an extensive transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a major new project from the very beginning.
The kitchen has been completely rebuilt with a bespoke design and brand-new equipment throughout, including the addition of a Burther charcoal oven - an exciting opportunity for a chef looking to develop their skills using high-quality equipment and open-fire style cooking.
We are looking for a chef with genuine passion, creativity and enthusiasm for fresh food and great hospitality - someone who thrives in a busy kitchen environment and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.
As Chef de Partie, you will work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Executive Chef taking responsibility for your section while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team and progress your career.
You'll also benefit from working alongside our Executive Chef, who oversees all three sites within the Hugo Hospitality Group, offering ongoing support, training and progression opportunities across the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running your section efficiently during service.
- Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of seasonal ingredient-led menus.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Supporting with stock rotation, food storage and minimising waste.
- Ensuring your section is clean, organised and fully compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Working closely with the wider kitchen and front of house teams to deliver an excellent guest experience.
- Contributing to the successful launch and ongoing development of the site.
About You
- An experienced Chef de Partie or a strong Commis/Demi Chef de Partie ready for the next step.
- Passionate about fresh, seasonal cooking.
- Organised, reliable and calm under pressure.
- A positive team player with strong communication skills.
- Keen to learn, develop and progress within a growing hospitality group.
