Rate of Pay: £16.00–£20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Shift Times: 07:00–19:00 (Days) or 19:00–07:00 (Nights)

About Us
We are a leading provider of alarm monitoring, CCTV monitoring, keyholding and response services, delivering professional security solutions to clients across the UK.
Due to operational requirements, we are seeking a professional and proactive ARC Operator to join our Alarm Receiving Centre on a fixed-term one-month contract, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is available to start straight away and gain experience within a fast-paced security operations environment.
About the Role
As an ARC Operator, you will play a vital role in protecting our clients' people, property and assets. Working within our Alarm Receiving Centre, you will monitor alarm and CCTV systems, assess incidents, and coordinate the appropriate response to ensure the safety and security of our customers.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding position that requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to alarm activations, including intruder, fire, CCTV and panic alarms.
- Assess incidents and take appropriate action in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Liaise with keyholders, emergency services and mobile response officers.
- Accurately record all events and actions within monitoring systems.
- Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
- Escalate incidents where required.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
- Support the wider ARC team to ensure a consistently high level of customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Frontline Licence.
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Availability to commence employment immediately.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within an Alarm Receiving Centre, CCTV Control Room or similar environment.
- Knowledge of alarm systems and CCTV monitoring.
- Understanding of industry standards, including BS EN 50518 and BS 9518.
- Experience within the security, emergency services or customer service sectors.
