Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 HGVs, in compliance with all legal and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-journey inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Secure cargo appropriately on flatbeds, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 HGV licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving 2 year min,
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo handling.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary.

Pay: £37,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
