About Us
CoolBlades is a UK-based supplier of hairdressing, barbering and beauty products, serving salon professionals and enthusiasts across the country through our e-commerce site. We're looking for an experienced Google Ads Specialist to help us get more out of our paid search activity on a flexible, contract basis.
The Role
We're after a hands-on Google Ads specialist to manage and optimise our search and shopping campaigns. This is a part-time contract role at 30 hours a month, with one day a week based at our office and the rest worked remotely.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning, building and managing Google Ads campaigns, including Search and Shopping
- Managing and optimising our Google Merchant Center product feed to support Shopping campaigns
- Conducting keyword research and refining targeting to improve relevance and reduce wasted spend
- Monitoring budgets, bids and campaign performance to hit agreed cost and return targets
- Setting up and maintaining conversion tracking and reporting through Google Analytics (GA4)
- Producing regular performance reports with clear, actionable recommendations
- Testing ad copy, extensions and landing pages to improve click-through and conversion rates
- Keeping up with Google Ads platform changes and applying best practice as it evolves
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing Google Ads accounts, ideally for an e-commerce business
- Strong working knowledge of Google Merchant Center and Shopping campaigns
- Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and conversion tracking setup
- Confident analysing data and turning it into practical recommendations
- Comfortable working independently and reporting on results without close supervision
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain performance in plain English
- Google Ads certification is a plus but not essential
