The Cedars care home located in Holmes Chapel are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.
- £13.60 per hour
- 42 hour position available
- 36 hours per week
- 8:00am – 8:00pm shifts
- Alternate weekends
THE ROLE
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents and leading the care team to ensure high standards of person-centred care are maintained. You will lead and support care staff during shifts, provide guidance to team members and help ensure residents receive safe, dignified and compassionate care.
The role will include supporting with and overseeing medication, care plans, daily records and care documentation, while ensuring care is delivered in line with individual needs and preferences. You will build positive and professional relationships with residents, their families and external healthcare professionals, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for residents.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is confident, reliable and passionate about providing excellent care, with the ability to lead and support a team.
An experienced Care Assistant who is looking to take the next step in their career and progress into a senior role will also be considered.
Previous senior experience is desirable, but we are interested in applicants who demonstrate the right attitude, commitment and willingness to develop.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the care team
- Supporting with medication and medication administration
- Maintaining accurate care plans and records
- Providing high-quality person-centred care
- Building professional relationships with residents and families
- Working closely with healthcare professionals and other agencies
- Supporting staff and promoting good practice
- Ensuring residents' dignity, privacy and independence are maintained
