Due to continued growth we have an opportunity to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed.
Job description:
The Quality Engineer will be involved with the final inspection of completed machines ensuring they meet the customers’ specifications and quality standards.
Approving or rejecting manufactured and purchased components with respect to the quality standards.
Carry our First Article Inspections (FAI) of machined, sheet metal and welded components.
Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
Skills & Experience
· Proven experience as Quality Engineer or relevant role
· Broad knowledge of welding and metal manufacturing techniques
· A keen eye for detail
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g. 8D, Root Cause Analysis)
· The ability to read engineering drawings
· Familiarity with quality inspection equipment (e.g. Digital Verniers,Micrometers)
· Excellent communication and time management skills.
· Ability to work well as part of a team
· Computer literate
· Positive attitude
Hours of work
Monday - Thursday: 06.30 - 16.45
THIS ROLE IS BASED ON SITE IN TRURO, CORNWALL - APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING/ABLE TO RELOCATE
