Join Seymour Hotels as our Group Assistant Human Resources Manager
Be part of a workplace where every team member is valued, supported, and empowered. We’re proud to have been recognised as the Spotlight Award Wellbeing Winner at Jersey’s Best Workplace 2025, reflecting our commitment to looking after our people. In this role, you’ll help build on that success—driving high-quality HR practices, boosting engagement, and supporting our teams to thrive.
At Seymour Hotels, we’re a family-owned business that genuinely cares about every colleague. We know that when our people feel proud, respected, and fulfilled, they deliver extraordinary experiences for our guests. Guided by our open-door policy and core values—integrity, respect, compassion, positivity, enthusiasm, and humility—we foster a culture where everyone can grow, belong, and shine.
Work permits are not issued for this role, and therefore applicants to this particular role should have the immediate right to work in Jersey or the United Kingdom (Jersey, UK, or Irish passport; EU Settled or Pre-Settled Status; or Indefinite Leave to Remain).
Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will provide both operational and strategic HR support across all our hotels. You’ll be the trusted point of contact for managers and teams, helping them navigate people matters with clarity and fairness. You’ll also mentor HR colleagues, champion consistent, values-driven practices, and ensure our people-first culture thrives across all properties.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, high-energy professional who loves to get stuck in and make things happen. You’ll connect big-picture HR goals with the day-to-day realities of our teams—offering guidance on complex situations, leading initiatives, and making a tangible difference every day.
No two days are the same—you might roll out a new HR project one day and support a manager or team the next. Your work will directly shape a workplace where people feel supported, inspired, and proud to be part of the Seymour Hotels family.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Brings solid HR expertise, ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or with extensive experience in busy head offices or creative environments.
- Has a strong understanding of Jersey employment law and the confidence to handle sensitive or complex cases fairly.
- Builds trusted relationships at every level and is approachable, influential, and collaborative.
- Enjoys coaching and developing others, providing practical guidance and constructive feedback.
- Is tech and data savvy, using HR tools to improve processes and the employee experience.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
- Looks for root causes, solves problems creatively, and implements practical solutions.
- Shows initiative, goes the extra mile, and tackles challenges with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Communicates confidently and clearly, whether facilitating meetings or presenting ideas.
