CLS Contract Labour Solutions are looking for an Extrusion Operative to work for our Doncaster-based client. They are a global manufacturer of polycarbonate and PVC sheets. Operatives work on one of four production line during the shift, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and adherence to production targets are consistently maintained.
Salary: £28,107 (during training) + £2,400 shift allowance.
Shifts: 12 hour shifts days and nights
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the production line to ensure it runs efficiently throughout the shift
- Manufacture products in line with specifications, production plans, and work instructions
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks as required
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production line
- Accurately complete all required paperwork during each shift
- Ensure machine integrity and report any faults or damage promptly
- Liaise with the Shift Manager regarding any issues impacting efficiency
- Support and maintain OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) inputs and reporting
- Ensure finished products are packaged in line with company and customer requirements
- Work proactively to minimise downtime and improve production efficiency
- Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required to support business needs
Skills & Experience Required
- Good knowledge and technical understanding of the extrusion process
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and achieve production targets
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Strong administrative and record-keeping skills
- Basic IT skills with the ability to input accurate data
- Strong commitment to quality standards
- Understanding of and alignment with company values and vision

- 4 week rotating pattern - eg. Weekend 1 off, Weekend 2 nights, Weekend 3 off, and Weekend 4 days.
