Overview
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
- Oversee food safety protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene within the kitchen environment
- Lead menu planning, including developing new dishes that align with current culinary trends
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain organised workstations and ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Uphold a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience working in restaurants or similar establishments preferred
- Familiarity with hospitality service standards including serving guests and managing customer expectations
- Demonstrated ability to innovate within the culinary field while maintaining consistency in quality
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in both food presentation and kitchen operations
